The practical outlook depends on three separate questions: how people are travelling, which places are operating, and what changes on the dates of the visit.

A stronger August, with limits to what it tells us

Fraport’s provisional figures show 426,229 airport passengers in August, up 7.5% on August 2025. This is a transport indicator: it does not measure unique visitors, hotel occupancy or spending. The year-to-date comparison and source tables are in the 2026 Report.

Winter journeys need a different calendar

The announced Thursday runway suspensions concern the winter period, not current September travel. For a gathering or work trip, check the airline’s schedule before committing to arrival and departure days. Terminal availability does not mean that a scheduled passenger flight can use the runway during a suspension.

New hotels expand the choice; dates still decide

Four Seasons and Fouquet’s add documented operating addresses in different parts of the island. Their summer opening statements do not establish winter availability. Anyone planning later in the year needs confirmation of accommodation, dining and group arrangements for the same dates, rather than assuming the full summer offer continues.

The next signal must be a dated one

The summer programmes are useful records of what was advertised. Their archive pages cannot answer which artist, chef or itinerary will be available next. Our next useful update will come from a new programme, a confirmed operating change or comparable traffic data. Until then, a gap in the selective calendar is shown as a gap.
