Ano Mera housing: municipality accepts revised land-donation proposal
Decision 241/2026 concerns a proposal for housing rented to public employees. The donation contract and housing delivery are separate next steps.
Proposal accepted · contract not established by this decision
What the committee accepted
Mykonos Municipal Committee unanimously accepted a resubmitted donation proposal from Georgios I. Monogyios on 5 October. Decision 241/2026, published on 6 October under reference 99ΟΡΩΚΚ-0ΨΧ, identifies a property at Glyfada–Broudechtaki in Ano Mera. The stated purpose is to build social housing to be rented at a minimal rent to categories of public employees.
For workers looking for accommodation, this is a proposal moving through municipal approval, not an announcement of homes available to rent.
The terms still matter
The minutes say the resubmitted proposal changes terms from the earlier offer considered under decision 349/2025. They record Konstantinos Koukas asking for a municipal legal-service opinion on one term before a donation contract is signed. The unanimous decision accepts the proposal but requires care that the terms fully comply with the applicable legislation before the subsequent contract. It authorises the mayor to take the necessary lawful steps.
What this does not yet establish
The published decision does not establish that ownership has transferred or construction has started. It gives no housing count, delivery timetable, application process, exact rent or complete eligibility criteria. A signed donation contract and subsequent project and allocation decisions are therefore the records needed before residents or public employees can assess a concrete accommodation option. The offer’s intended beneficiaries should not be confused with an existing entitlement to a home.
