What happened
Erieta Attali's photography exhibition “Archipelago of Memory: From Delos to the Aegean” is announced for August 23–September 27, 2026. The municipality's press release names four venues: the Maria Iglessi Municipal Gallery, the Aegean Maritime Museum and the archaeological museums of Mykonos and Delos.
The municipality organises the exhibition with the Ephorate of Antiquities of Cyclades and the Aegean Maritime Museum.
Why it matters
The press release describes a photographic investigation centred on Delos, through night photography, long exposures, architectural fragments and mosaics. For the historical context of these places, our Delos brief offers an introduction to the island's heritage.
That distribution matters when planning a visit. The programme spans two islands, so its Delos component requires separate arrangements for the crossing and return. Each venue also has its own visitor arrangements. The announcement does not establish a shared ticket or a single opening schedule for the entire route.
Planning relevance
The symposium was announced for 18 September at the Municipality of Mykonos Events Hall in Matogianni, with free admission. Island24’s report of 14 September gives a revised start of 19:00. That report lists Georgios A. Panetsos, Maria Georgopoulou, Dimitris Philippidis, Giannis Tournikiotis and Erieta Attali as speakers.
The older municipal calendar instead lists 20:30 and includes David Basulto. This source discrepancy remains visible here; neither the passage of the date nor an announced speaker list establishes who attended. Free admission concerns the symposium, while each exhibition venue has separate visitor arrangements.
Correction, 18 September 2026: our earlier version used 20:30 from the municipal calendar. Island24’s later report of 14 September explicitly gives a revised start of 19:00; the municipal calendar still showed 20:30 when rechecked. The 19:00 time is attributed to that report. We have not verified that the symposium took place.
