Where does the boat to Delos leave from?

Delos Tours lists departures from Deliana Pier at the Old Port of Mykonos, in Chora. Its ticket office is at the pier. Check the departure point on your actual booking, particularly if you are arriving at Mykonos by ferry: the Delos departure is listed at the Old Port.

The operator publishes a 2026 timetable with outward and return sailings. It asks passengers to check again shortly before travel because weather conditions can change the schedule. Confirm your return sailing when booking; the archaeological site's closing time is not a boat departure time.

What are the Delos opening hours in October 2026?

The Ephorate of Antiquities of Cyclades publishes 08:00–18:30 for the archaeological site and museum from 1 to 15 October, with last admission at 18:00. From 16 to 31 October it lists 08:00–18:00, with last admission at 17:30. These are the site's published hours, not a suggested arrival time for a full visit.

Choose outward and return boats that leave enough time to explore. A separate official museum page displays broader 08:00–19:00 summer hours through 31 October. For an October plan, use the Ephorate's date-specific schedule and confirm any change with the site before departure.

How much does it cost to visit Delos?

The Ephorate lists archaeological admission at €20, or €10 for eligible reduced-ticket visitors. That ticket is separate from an independently purchased boat crossing. Delos Tours publishes a €25 adult return boat fare. At those published standard prices, an independent adult visit costs €45 for the crossing and admission, before an optional guide or other expense. Reduced or free admission changes that total; the official museum information lists 28 October as a free-admission day. Check current fares, eligibility and the date before paying.

The operator also advertises a €79 guided half-day tour that includes the return boat, archaeological admission and a licensed guide. Check the date, language and departure shown in the booking flow: its general guided-tour information and its seasonal sailing timetable do not display identical afternoon times for October.

Can you make the trip in an afternoon?

The operator's published timetable includes afternoon sailings that move earlier as October progresses. Check the exact outward and return times for your chosen date. A late arrival leaves less time before the site's last admission and closing time.

If you want time to explore without planning around the final admission window, compare the morning departures first. For an afternoon trip, confirm both sailings and the expected time on Delos with the operator.

Check Delos Tours for your outward and return crossings, and the Ephorate's dated opening hours for admission. If conditions are uncertain, contact the operator before going to Deliana Pier. A boat ticket gets you to Delos; an admission ticket gets you into the archaeological site. A confirmed outward departure is only half of the travel plan.
