The cancelled Mykonos service
Blue Star Ferries says its Blue Star Paros sailing from Piraeus at 07:30 on Friday 30 October, via Syros and Tinos to Mykonos, and the return journey will not operate because of the 24-hour maritime strike. Passengers on that service need to change their tickets. The operator directs travellers to the agency that handled their booking; those who booked through its call centre, website or seamore app can call +30 210 8919800.
This is a specific cancellation in the company’s published strike timetable. It does not establish that every ferry serving Mykonos is cancelled.
The late sailing reaches Mykonos on Saturday
The same operator says Blue Star Myconos will leave Piraeus at 23:00 on Friday 30 October. Its revised timetable gives a Mykonos call from 03:40 to 04:00 on Saturday 31 October. The company says ticket changes are not required for this sailing.
Blue Star Myconos is the name of the vessel; the Mykonos call falls on Saturday, even though the journey begins on Friday. Travellers should check the latest operator notice and their booking before setting out, especially for an overnight connection.
What this information covers
The operator’s notice was last updated at 15:00 on 26 October and was checked for this report on 29 October. It gives a confirmed operator plan at that time, not proof of a vessel’s eventual departure or arrival. The strike or timetable may change. Travellers using another company should check that company’s own service notice rather than assume its route follows Blue Star’s adjustments.
An earlier disruption of the Blue Star Myconos route in October concerned weather and was a separate incident. This report concerns the announced strike changes for 30–31 October only.
